# Scalability

* X-Chain is a blockchain network designed to overcome the current limitations of traditional blockchains, such as low transaction speed and high fees. By utilizing the latest technologies and protocols, X-Chain aims to offer a high-performance, scalable, and reliable blockchain infrastructure.
* One of the core features of X-Chain is its ability to handle a high volume of transactions without sacrificing speed or security. With its advanced consensus mechanism and optimized network architecture, X-Chain can process transactions in real-time, enabling fast and seamless transfer of value between participants.
* In addition to its transaction processing capabilities, X-Chain also prioritizes low latency, which is the amount of time it takes for a transaction to be confirmed on the network. Low latency is important for applications that require fast and accurate data transfer, such as high-frequency trading, gaming, and other real-time use cases.
* X-Chain is designed to be a developer-friendly platform, with a suite of tools and APIs that enable developers to easily build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps) on the network. The X-Chain SDK provides a comprehensive set of development tools, including smart contract templates, testing frameworks, and documentation, which simplifies the dApp development process and reduces time to market.
* X-Chain's focus on high performance, scalability, low latency, and developer-friendly tools make it an ideal blockchain infrastructure for a wide range of use cases, from financial applications to gaming and beyond.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://x-chain-1.gitbook.io/x-chain/let-our-features-for-us/scalability.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
